Wikis RSS etc

I’m looking forward to learning more about using Wikis in the classroom. My 9th grade physics classes are student-centered and lab-based. We do not use a textbook; rather, the students generate the content from the labs that we do. I would love to come up with a way to have each class generate a wiki-based textbook as we work our way through the curriculum. My questions surround issues such as How do I make sure that all the students participate, How should the wiki be graded, and other such policies.

Regarding first homework

To be honest I found the reading for today to be quite basic; the vast majority of the information was at a level that I have been comfortable with since I was in 8th grade. Things like file management, basic word-processing, and the different types of floppy dinosaurs (I mean discs) were not looking terribly helpful. I’m much happier now that we are starting to talk about real classroom work and pedagogy.
